Flickr is by far the best place to find great images for personal use. Here is a quick guide on how to find high quality photos, paintings and illustrations that you can use.
- Go to Flickr.com and type in your search. In this example, we will search for “Ballet dancer”.
- Toggle the “Advanced” search options.
- Select “L” for the “Minimum Sizes” which will give you larger image files that are suitable for prints.
- This is the critical step. By selecting “Modification allowed”, you get to see only the images that are safe to edit and use for personal purposes.
- The final step is to sort by “interesting”. The default sorting option “by relevant” does not always give the best photos.
