If you have visited HappyMoose in the last few days, you may have noticed a few changes. We have had a major system update and there are a few things that we wanted to share with you here.
Intelligent cropping
One of the common requests has been for a better cropping tool in the photo editor.
In the previous version when you loaded your photo the default crop would quite often chop heads off and you would have to fiddle around with the crop to get it placed correctly.
The new version has an intelligent crop that identifies the main subject of the photo and will place the crop around that subject. This means that you should not have to edit the crop yourself - of course there are always exceptions to this rule, but more often that not you can let the system do the work for you.
Separate shipping costs
Up until now, shipping costs were built into product pricing. We feel it makes our product pricing transparent if we do not include the shipping cost in the product prices.
Many of our customers order multiple products at a time. With the shipping cost removed from the product price, you can be sure that you’re only paying for the necessary shipping costs associated with your total order.
On a side note, we are gearing up to handle international orders and so separating shipping costs is one major step towards that process.
Pricing changes
We have had a thorough review of our pricing, and have been able to reduce the price significantly on several product lines.
We think you’ll be pretty amazed when you go onsite to check them out. For example, we used to charge $29.95 for a set of four 15x15cm wall dots. Now you’ll pay just $19.47.
Yes, we are still using the same archival quality ink and the same genuine paper from Canon. This price drop is largely made possible by a more streamlined workflow, a re-negotiated price with our suppliers.

Many people found it annoying to have to buy Moment Cards and Polaroid cards in packs; so now you can buy as few or as many as you want.
